I have just installed Windows 10 preview build 10525, which is the first post official launch of Windows 10 build that has been released to the Fast Ring. The release is covered on the official Microsoft Windows blog here which in describes whats new in this build. Basically it is two things that are highlighted; updated color options, which enables you to set your accent colors, and improvements to the memory manager. I spent this summer in Lebanon and was able to update my laptop, a Multicom W550SU to the “final” bits of Windows 10 through the insider preview program, which I was a part of. A process that was totally problemfree. When I returned home to Norway, I updated the Surface Pro 3 through a Windows 10 reservation, once again a totally hassle free process. Then it was time for my self built desktop PC…
Today the Spotify app on Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 was updated to version 4.0 and made it possible for Windows Phone users to finally listen to music on Spotify without a Premium account. The update basically brings the app on par with Spotify’s offerings on iOS and Android.
After playing a bit around with it I can safely say that it works the way you would expect. Here are some screenshots from it:
