My Windows 7 Desktop!

Technogran has challenged us to display our Windows 7 desktops so I figured I could show one of mine as well. This is my laptops desktop view. I have made a theme based on pictures from my 1 year tour of duty as a UN Military Observer in the Middle East, here shown in two different screenshots, the first one showing Crac du Chevalier – a crusader castle in Syria, and the second one Pidgeon Rock in Beirut, Lebanon.

I have my most frequently used applications pinned to the taskbar; IE8, Windows Explorer, Windows Media Player, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, iTunes, Zune Media Player, Live Writer, Seesmic (twitter), Adobe Photoshop Elements and Telenor Mobile Broadband (HSDPA). In addition to that I have added a toolbar of my own – My shortcuts as I call it, which is separate from the taskbar itself. In it I keep a folder I always work in as well as shortcuts for Handbrake, Collectorz (DVD-collection database) and the recycle bin.

I like having the clock, the calendar and the RSS feed reader gadgets in their default position as well as the Norton Internet Security 2009 gadget.

I visit daily a few websites and sites to read
articles or reviews, but this website presents quality based
articles.

Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking the time and actual effort to produce
a great article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.

Have you ever wondered how you could help those who are less fortunate than you?
