Ok, I know, I know… I am late to the table with this one. But hey – better late than never. Have been busy at work this week – very busy so I haven’t had time to post anything.

Anyway, as probably most of you know already Microsoft has publicly announced that Windows 7 will be available in stores on 22 October this year. RTM is expected in the second half of July. This is great news and I am really looking forward to downloading the RTM from TechNet come August.

Well, you have to hand it to Microsoft – they stick to their plans… Although the bits have been available through torrents for a week already, they just released them on TechNet and Connect (and I assume MSDN as well).

At the moment writing up a guide on how to install a clean version of the RC (or the RTM when that time comes) and keep your settings and data. This will be posted on May 5th – when the RC is released to the general public.

Today I got an email from Microsoft Connect that I was accepted in the Windows 7 International Beta Program (Norwegian). The information in the Win 7 Beta documentation suggests that the RC is soon to arrive. Over on the WinSupersite Paul Thurrott just posted that 6.1.7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700 is arriving soon (just a teaser post – as is this one ;-).

Will report as soon as I am able to start downloading the bits. My guess – sometime Friday…;-)
